Behzad Farahani tries his hand at writing with ‘55 Short Stories’

Iranian actor Behzad Farahani tries his hand at writing.

Iranian actor and stage director Behzad Farahani has tried his hand at writing with publishing his first collection entitled ‘55 Short Stories’.

‘55 Short Stories’ is a publication of Iran-based Gouya House of Culture and Art.

In ‘55 Short Stories’, Farahani, who might be remembered by ifilm audience with ‘Abraham, Friend of Allah’ and ‘A Mother's Sacrifices’, has narrated what he has seen, experienced and learned over the years throughout his life, and has dedicated the book to all the people of Farahan, the actor’s hometown located in the Iranian province of Markazi.  

Farahani, 75, is a graduate of dramatic arts and completed his studies in France. His debut movie was ‘Invasion’ (1970), written by him and directed by Hamid Mesdaq.

He has also performed numerous plays for radio and television, and has played leading roles in a number of acclaimed movies of Iranian cinema over the past five decades.
